To continue, besides the usability problems, there are also a lot of functional gaps (e.g., there does not appear to be a way to remove yourself from an event) and just plain bugs (why I am listed twice?). It is a free service and I have not seen where it was advertised as a "finished" product, so I come to expect this on the web today.

We looked at attendr for another conference and it simply won't cut it for us. But we are looking for other sites that accomplish the same thing. If we find something better, I will let you know.

I like it so far. I am definitely a techno-geek, so I was able to use it without any instructions. But I am also a user experience professional, so I see lots of warts. Simple example: the "save your profile" button is at the TOP of the page, when everyone looks for it at the bottom.

And I was able to use it to find YOU - since you indicated you were interested in meeting me.

But the site definitely feels like many of the "betas" that I use everyday. Not polished but lots of potential.
